High school students with the skills you need are now entering the workforce. How will you recognize them?

One way is through the Employability Certificate Program offered by the high schools in the Livermore, Dublin and Pleasanton School Districts. A copy of the certificate students earn can be seen here.

Students who complete the program are motivated to be successful employees and have demonstrated the “soft skills” needed by most employers. They bring with them a portfolio of executed work product and have identified industries such as yours through extensive research.

The program is the result of interviews with local employers about skills they require to hire recent high school graduates. The Tri-Valley educational institutions have jointly developed this program, aligning it to the needs of area businesses to create a more skilled workforce.

This year, 196 graduates will enter the workforce with the certificate, including 77 from Dublin USD, 20 from Livermore Valley JUSD, and 99 from the Pleasanton USD.
